January 30, 2023: Clarion, IA The West Hancock Eagles basketball team (Britt, IA), was nudged 72-69 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS (Clarion, IA)
The now sport a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Humboldt for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 31. Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 33-20 non-league win over Garner-Hayfield/Ventura (Garner, IA). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-6.
The Eagles (7-7) will now prepare for their battle against Belmond-Klemme (Belmond, IA). The Broncos come into the North Iowa battle with a 10-8 record. In their last battle, Belmond-Klemme edged North Iowa (Buffalo Center, IA), 36-30, in a league battle.
