Kentucky High School Basketball - Clay County fells Lee County
January 30, 2023: Manchester, KY 40962 Clay County Tigers (Manchester, KY) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lee County Bobcats (Beattyville, KY), 56-39 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Clay County upgrades its record to 6-11 on the season. The Tigers host Harlan (Harlan, KY) to play the Green Dragons in a non-league bout on Friday, February 3. The Green Dragons go into the bout with a record of 4-11. Harlan lost 69-68 in their recent league bout against Bell County (Pineville, KY)
Next up, the Bobcats play the Estill County Engineers (Irvine, KY) in a District 56 bout, on Friday, February 3. Lee County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-14 season record. The Engineers go into the bout with a 9-14 record after their 63-55 non-league loss to Wolfe County (Campton, KY).
