Ohio High School Basketball - University nudges Steubenville
January 30, 2023: Steubenville, OH 43952 University Hawks (Morgantown, WV) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Steubenville Big Red (Steubenville, OH), 51-48 in a non-league bout.
With the win, University upgrades its record to 11-7 on the season. The Hawks host St. Clairsville (St. Clairsville, OH) to clash with the Red Devils in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 2. The Red Devils go into the bout with a record of 5-13. St. Clairsville won 50-19 in their recent non-league bout against Beaver (Lisbon, OH)
Next up, the Big Red clash with the Catholic Central Crusaders (Steubenville, OH) in a Ohio Valley bout, on Monday, February 6. Steubenville will attempt to upgrade on its 12-7 season record. The Crusaders go into the bout with a 7-11 record after their 52-34 non-league loss to Shenandoah (Sarahsville, OH).
