Illinois High School Basketball - Pleasant Plains tops Auburn
January 30, 2024: Pleasant Plains, IL 62677 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Pleasant Plains Cardinals (Pleasant Plains, IL) and the visiting Auburn Trojans (Auburn, IL), saw Pleasant Plains's basketball squad knock off Auburn by a count of 62-48.
With the victory, Pleasant Plains upgrades its record to 10-13 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Williamsville (Williamsville, IL) to play the Bullets in a Sangamo challenge on Friday, February 2. The Bullets come into the challenge with a record of 17-5. Williamsville won 35-33 in their recent league challenge against Athens (Athens, IL)
Next up, the Trojans play the Illini Central Cougars (Mason City, IL) in a Tomahawk challenge, on Friday, February 2. Auburn will attempt to upgrade on its 21-3 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 11-12 record after their 72-21 league win over Greenview (Greenview, IL).
