Illinois High School Basketball - Seneca overwhelmed by Beecher
January 30, 2024: Beecher, IL 60401 The Beecher Bobcats basketball team scored 69 points and restricted the visiting Seneca Fighting Irish to 43 in the Bobcats non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Bobcats now sport a 24-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Illinois Lutheran for a non-league contest on Friday, February 2. Beecher will battle a Chargers team coming off a 66-37 league win over Tri-Point (Cullom, IL). The Chargers record now stands at 4-16.
The Fighting Irish (18-8) will now prepare for their contest against Lowpoint-Washburn (Washburn, IL). The Wildcats come into the Tri-County contest with a 16-10 record. In their last contest, Lowpoint-Washburn was routed by Henry-Senachwine (Henry, IL), 51-23, in a league contest.
