Iowa High School Basketball - Hudson overwhelms Columbus
January 30, 2024: Waterloo, IA 50702 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Hudson Pirates (Hudson, IA) and the host Columbus Sailors (Waterloo, IA), saw Hudson's basketball squad wallop Columbus by a tally of 76-40.
With the victory, Hudson improves its record to 17-1 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Wapsie Valley (Fairbank, IA) to confront the Warriors in a North Iowa Cedar - East challenge on Friday, February 2. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 2-15. Wapsie Valley lost 77-66 in their recent league challenge against Union (La Porte City, IA)
Next up, the Sailors confront the Jesup J-Hawks (Jesup, IA) in a North Iowa Cedar - East challenge, on Friday, February 2. Columbus will attempt to improve on its 7-15 season record. The J-Hawks come into the challenge with a 12-5 record after their 74-53 league win over Sumner-Fredericksburg (Sumner, IA).
