January 30, 2024: New Wilmington, PA 16142 In Tuesday's league outing, the Hickory Hornets (Hermitage, PA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Wilmington Greyhounds (New Wilmington, PA), by a count of 87-22.
The Hornets (11-4) will now prepare for their outing against Grove City (Grove City, PA). The Eagles go into the District 10 Region 4 outing with a 10-7 record. In their last outing, Grove City smashed Slippery Rock (Slippery Rock, PA), 49-48, in a league outing.
The Greyhounds now hold a 0-15 record. They play next when they host Greenville for a District 10 Region 4 outing on Friday, February 2. Wilmington will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 73-62 league loss to Sharon (Sharon, PA). The Trojans record now stands at 7-9.
