Illinois High School Basketball - Hillcrest nips Oak Forest
January 30, 2024: Oak Forest, IL 60452 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Hillcrest Hawks (Country Club Hills, IL) and the host Oak Forest Bengals (Oak Forest, IL), saw Hillcrest's basketball squad hold off Oak Forest by a tally of 55-48.
With the victory, Hillcrest improves its record to 14-10 on the campaign. The Hawks host Evergreen Park (Evergreen Park, IL) to play the Mustangs in a South Suburban challenge on Friday, February 2. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 17-8. Evergreen Park won 59-53 in their recent league challenge against Richards (Oak Lawn, IL)
Next up, the Bengals play the Argo Argonauts (Summit, IL) in a South Suburban challenge, on Friday, February 2. Oak Forest will attempt to improve on its 10-14 season record. The Argonauts come into the battle with a 6-19 record after their 61-49 league loss to Oak Lawn (Oak Lawn, IL).
