The Portage Northern Huskies basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Three Rivers Wildcats to 36 in the Huskies non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Huskies now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gull Lake for a non-league contest on Friday, February 2. Portage Northern will meet a Blue Devils team coming off a 63-51 non-league loss to Otsego (Otsego, MI). The Blue Devils record now stands at 6-9.

The Wildcats (2-11) will now prepare for their contest against Edwardsburg (Edwardsburg, MI). The Eddies enter the Wolverine B contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, Edwardsburg was routed by Brandywine (Niles, MI), 50-46, in a non-league contest.
