Illinois High School Basketball - Triad nips Rochester

January 30, 2024: Rochester, IL 62563

Triad Knights (Troy, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Rochester Rockets (Rochester, IL), 50-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Triad upgrades its record to 17-8 on the season. The Knights host Highland (Highland, IL) to play the Bulldogs in a Mississippi Valley bout on Friday, February 2. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 15-12. Highland won 73-58 in their recent non-league bout against Christ Our Rock Lutheran (Centralia, IL)

Next up, the Rockets play the MacArthur Generals (Decatur, IL) in a Central State Eight bout, on Friday, February 2. Rochester will attempt to upgrade on its 11-15 season record. The Generals go into the bout with a 19-3 record after their 67-63 league win over Springfield Southeast (Springfield, IL).
