Florida High School Basketball - Vero Beach tops Melbourne
January 30, 2024: Melbourne, FL 32901 Vero Beach Indians (Vero Beach, FL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Melbourne Bulldogs (Melbourne, FL), 40-28 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Vero Beach upgrades its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Indians host Palm Bay (Melbourne, FL) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Friday, February 2. The Pirates come into the bout with a record of 2-1. Palm Bay won 64-20 in their recent league bout against Eau Gallie (Melbourne, FL)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Centennial Eagles (Port St. Lucie, FL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 1. Melbourne will attempt to upgrade on its 11-3 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 72-59 league loss to Central (Fort Pierce, FL).
