January 30, 2024: Detroit, MI 48209 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Chavez Academy Aztec Eagles (Detroit, MI) and the visiting Center Line Prep (Center Line, MI), saw Chavez Academy's basketball squad hold off Center Line Prep by a tally of 2-0.
With the victory, Chavez Academy improves its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Aztec Eagles host Merritt Academy (New Haven, MI) to confront the Mustangs in a Detroit Metro challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 0-7.
Next up, the confront the Canton Preparatory Chargers (Canton, MI) in a Detroit Metro challenge, on Thursday, February 1. Center Line Prep will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 70-20 league win over Universal Learning Academy (Westland, MI).
