January 30, 2024: Timber Lake, SD 57656 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Dupree Tigers (Dupree, SD) and the host Timber Lake Panthers (Timber Lake, SD), saw Dupree's basketball squad hold off Timber Lake by a count of 56-52.
With the victory, Dupree upgrades its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The Tigers host McLaughlin (McLaughlin, SD) to play the Mustangs in a A Region 6 challenge on Thursday, February 1. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 11-4. McLaughlin won 61-52 in their recent non-league challenge against Todd County (Mission, SD)
Next up, the Panthers play the Faith Longhorns (Faith, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 1. Timber Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a 13-4 record after their 60-58 non-league loss to Herreid/Selby (Herreid, SD).
