Michigan High School Basketball - Freeland thwarts New Lothrop
January 30, 2024: Freeland, MI 48623 The Freeland Falcons (Freeland, MI) basketball knocked off the visiting New Lothrop Hornets (New Lothrop, MI), 57-43 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Falcons (12-2) will now prepare for their test against Bridgeport (Bridgeport, MI). The Bearcats go into the Tri-Valley - East test with a 4-8 record. In their last test, Bridgeport went down by Garber (Essexville, MI), 61-18, in a league test.
The Hornets now own a 7-5 record. They play next when they travel to Byron for a Mid-Michigan test on Friday, February 2. New Lothrop will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 36-25 non-league loss to Swartz Creek (Swartz Creek, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 2-11.
