Louisiana High School Basketball - Pope John Paul II edges St. Helena College and Career Academy
January 30, 2024: Greensburg, LA 70441 The Pope John Paul II Jaguars (Slidell, LA) basketball nipped the host St. Helena College and Career Academy Hawks (Greensburg, LA), 45-38 in Tuesday's league test.
The Jaguars (8-11) will now prepare for their test against Northlake Christian (Covington, LA). The Wolverines go into the 2A District 7 test with a 11-9 record. In their last test, Northlake Christian was tipped by Pearl River (Pearl River, LA), 59-33, in a non-league test.
The Hawks now own a 6-6 record. They play next when they host Springfield for a 2A District 7 test on Friday, February 2. St. Helena College and Career Academy will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 61-35 league win over Northlake Christian (Covington, LA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 14-7.
