Virginia High School Basketball - Roanoke Catholic nudges Southwest Virginia Academy
January 30, 2024: Roanoke, VA 24015 Roanoke Catholic Celtics (Roanoke, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Southwest Virginia Academy Conquerors (Roanoke, VA), 65-61 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Roanoke Catholic upgrades its record to 7-8 on the season. The Celtics travel to Eastern Mennonite (Harrisonburg, VA) to clash with the Flames in a bout on Thursday, February 1. The Flames go into the bout with a record of 3-5. Eastern Mennonite won 53-52 in their recent league bout against The Covenant (Charlottesville, VA)
Next up, the Conquerors clash with the Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy Ospreys (Moneta, VA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 5. Southwest Virginia Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
