In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Stanton Vikings basketball team scored a close 61-59 triumph over the CAM Cougars.

The Vikings (7-8) will now prepare for their contest against East Mills (Malvern, IA). The go into the Corner contest with a 13-5 record. In their last contest, East Mills nipped Fremont-Mills (Tabor, IA), 53-44, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Cougars confront the Paton-Churdan Rockets (Churdan, IA) in a Rolling Hills contest, on Friday, January 31. CAM will attempt to better on its 6-10 season record.
