Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Carrick thwarts Valley
January 30, 2025: Pittsburgh, PA 15210 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Carrick Raiders (Pittsburgh, PA) and the visiting Valley Vikings (New Kensington, PA), observed Carrick's basketball team knock off Valley by a score of 69-54.
The Raiders (10-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Perry Traditional Academy (Pittsburgh, PA). The Commodores come into the Pittsburgh City challenge with a 1-12 record. In their last challenge, Perry Traditional Academy was knocked off by Nazareth Prep (Pittsburgh, PA), 76-19, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Vikings encounter the Burrell Bucs (Lower Burrell, PA) in a WPIAL 4A 1 challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Valley will attempt to improve on its 3-13 season record.
