The Hyde Park Thunderbirds basketball squad (Chicago, IL), was outscored 50-37 in Thursday's league battle with the host Lane Tech Champions (Chicago, IL)

With the victory, Lane Tech advances its record to 14-10 on the year. The Champions host Amundsen (Chicago, IL) to meet the Vikings in a non-league battle on Friday, January 31. The Vikings enter the battle with a record of 13-3. Amundsen won 79-22 in their recent league battle against Chicago Academy (Chicago, IL)
