January 30, 2025: Sumner, IA 50674 The Sumner-Fredericksburg Cougars (Sumner, IA) basketball edged the visiting Waukon Indians (Waukon, IA), 74-71 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Cougars now possess a 9-8 record. They play next when they travel to Denver for a North Iowa Cedar - Central bout on Friday, January 31. Sumner-Fredericksburg will play a Cyclones team coming off a 98-92 league win over Columbus (Waterloo, IA). The Cyclones record now stands at 14-3.
