January 30, 2025: Upper Marlboro, MD 20774 Largo Lions (Upper Marlboro, MD) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Friendly Patriots (Fort Washington, MD), 59-37 in a league match.
With the victory, Largo upgrades its record to 9-3 on the year. The Lions travel to Oxon Hill (Oxon Hill, MD) to face the Clippers in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A match on Monday, February 3. The Clippers enter the match with a record of 10-5. Oxon Hill won 57-28 in their recent league match against Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South (Upper Marlboro, MD)
The Patriots now sport a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to College Park Academy for a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A match on Monday, February 3. Friendly will face a squad coming off a 44-26 league loss to Surrattsville (Clinton, MD). The record now stands at 2-9.
