Maryland High School Basketball - Green Street Academy can't hold off Western
January 30, 2025: Baltimore, MD 21209 Western (Baltimore, MD) supporters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Green Street Academy Chargers (Baltimore, MD), 2-0 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Western advances its record to 13-3 on the year. The travel to Dunbar (Baltimore, MD) to face the Poets in a Baltimore City match on Monday, February 3. The Poets enter the match with a record of 12-4. Dunbar won 65-9 in their recent league match against Carver Vo-Tech (Baltimore, MD)
The Chargers now own a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northeast for a non-league match on Friday, January 31. Green Street Academy will face a Eagles squad coming off a 45-42 league loss to North County (Glen Burnie, MD). The Eagles record now stands at 5-10.
