The Valley Vista Monsoon (Surprise, AZ) soccer nipped the host West Point Dragons (Avondale, AZ), 1-0 in Thursday's league challenge.

The Monsoon now hold a 5-9 record. They play next when they travel to Tolleson for a 6A West Valley challenge on Monday, February 3. Valley Vista will encounter a Wolverines squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Apollo (Glendale, AZ). The Wolverines record now stands at 7-7.
