The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Smoky Hill Buffaloes (Aurora, CO) and the host Mullen Mustangs (Denver, CO), observed Smoky Hill's basketball team knock off Mullen by a score of 57-45.

The Buffaloes (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against Arapahoe (Centennial, CO). The Warriors enter the battle with a 6-7 record.

The Mustangs now own a 4-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cherry Creek for a battle on Wednesday, February 4. Mullen will meet a Bruins squad coming off a 43-40 league loss to Cherokee Trail (Aurora, CO). The Bruins record now stands at 9-2.
