January 31, 2023: Elmwood, IL 61529 In Tuesday's league outing, the Elmwood Trojans (Elmwood, IL) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Astoria/VIT Rebels (Astoria, IL), by a count of 82-55.
The Trojans (16-7) will now prepare for their outing against Lewistown (Lewistown, IL). The Indians go into the Prairieland outing with a 13-11 record. In their last outing, Lewistown smashed Bushnell-Prairie City (Bushnell, IL), 62-49, in a non-league outing.
The Rebels now hold a 6-18 record. They play next when they travel to Macomb for a Prairieland outing on Friday, February 3. Astoria/VIT will clash with a Bombers squad coming off a 77-29 non-league win over Cuba/Spoon River Valley (Cuba, IL). The Bombers record now stands at 21-5.
