In Tuesday's league outing, the Union Grove Lions (Gladewater, TX) basketball squad beat the visiting Big Sandy Wildcats (Big Sandy, TX), by a count of 73-61.

The Lions (15-11) will now prepare for their outing against McLeod (McLeod, TX). The Longhorns go into the 2A Region III District 21 outing with a 21-9 record.

The Wildcats now hold a 6-11 record. They play next when they travel to McLeod for a 2A Region III District 21 outing on Friday, February 3. Big Sandy will clash with a Longhorns squad coming off a 44-31 league win over Ore City (Ore City, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 21-9.
