Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Perkins County Plainsmen (Grant, NE) and the visiting Maxwell Wildcats (Maxwell, NE), saw Perkins County's basketball squad knock off Maxwell by a tally of 43-34.

With the victory, Perkins County improves its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Plainsmen travel to Akron (Akron, CO) to play the Rams in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 2. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 5-8. Akron lost 41-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Fleming (Fleming, CO)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Wallace Wildcats (Wallace, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 3. Maxwell will attempt to improve on its 6-13 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 53-35 non-league win over Sutherland (Sutherland, NE).
