Connecticut High School Basketball - Platt trounces Southington
January 31, 2023: Southington, CT 06489 The Platt Panthers (Meriden, CT) basketball crushed the host Southington Blue Knights (Southington, CT), 81-52 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Panthers (12-2) will now prepare for their test against Newtown (Newtown, CT). The Nighthawks go into the non-league test with a 10-5 record. In their last test, Newtown walloped Pomperaug (Southbury, CT), 55-37, in a league test.
The Blue Knights now own a 7-4 record. They play next when they host Bristol Central for a Central Connecticut - West Colonial test on Thursday, February 2. Southington will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 88-44 non-league loss to East Catholic (Manchester, CT). The Rams record now stands at 5-9.
