Illinois High School Basketball - Newark can't hold off Amboy
January 31, 2023: Newark, IL 60541 The Amboy Clippers basketball team scored 30 points and held the host Newark Norsemen to 25 in the Clippers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Clippers now sport a 22-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Earlville for a non-league contest on Wednesday, February 1. Amboy will battle a Red Raiders team coming off a 46-20 league win over Indian Creek (Shabbona, IL). The Red Raiders record now stands at 12-14.
The Norsemen (17-7) will now prepare for their contest against Parkview Christian Academy (Yorkville, IL). The come into the non-league contest with a 21-1 record. In their last contest, Parkview Christian Academy edged Earlville (Earlville, IL), 51-23, in a non-league contest.
