Kansas High School Basketball - Blue Valley Northwest holds off Washburn Rural
January 31, 2023: Topeka, KS 66619 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Blue Valley Northwest Huskies (Overland Park, KS) and the host Washburn Rural Blues (Topeka, KS), saw Blue Valley Northwest's basketball squad hold off Washburn Rural by a tally of 54-52.
With the victory, Blue Valley Northwest improves its record to 7-6 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Notre Dame de Sion (Kansas City, MO) to confront the Storm in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 3. The Storm come into the challenge with a record of 14-6. Notre Dame de Sion won 56-54 in their recent non-league battle against Warrensburg (Warrensburg, MO)
The Blues (10-3) will now prepare for their battle against Emporia (Emporia, KS). The Spartans come into the non-league battle with a 14-2 record. In their last battle, Emporia edged Heights (Wichita, KS), 53-52, in a non-league battle.
