New Hampshire High School Basketball - Gilford nips Prospect Mountain
January 31, 2023: Alton, NH 03809 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Gilford Golden Eagles (Gilford, NH) and the host Prospect Mountain Timberwolves (Alton, NH), saw Gilford's basketball squad hold off Prospect Mountain by a tally of 47-46.
With the victory, Gilford improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Golden Eagles travel to Inter-Lakes (Meredith, NH) to play the Lakers in a Division III challenge on Friday, February 3. The Lakers come into the challenge with a record of 2-7. Inter-Lakes lost 30-25 in their recent non-league challenge against Moultonborough Academy (Moultonborough, NH)
Next up, the Timberwolves play the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints (Dover, NH) in a Division III challenge, on Friday, February 3. Prospect Mountain will attempt to improve on its 7-3 season record. The Saints come into the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 47-36 league win over Belmont (Belmont, NH).
