Wisconsin High School Basketball - Luther Prep nudges Rio
January 31, 2023: Watertown, WI 53094 Luther Prep Phoenix (Watertown, WI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Rio Vikings (Rio, WI), 53-50 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Luther Prep upgrades its record to 4-12 on the season. The Phoenix host Lake Country Lutheran (Hartland, WI) to clash with the Lightning in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 4. The Lightning go into the bout with a record of 11-6.
Next up, the Vikings clash with the Montello Hilltoppers (Montello, WI) in a Trailways - West bout, on Thursday, February 2. Rio will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Hilltoppers go into the bout with a 4-12 record after their 69-42 non-league loss to Central Wisconsin Christian (Waupun, WI).
