Northwood Chargers (Pittsboro, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host The Burlington School Spartans (Burlington, NC), 54-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Northwood upgrades its record to 17-4 on the season. The Chargers host Orange (Hillsborough, NC) to face the Panthers in a 3A Conference 25 game on Friday, February 3. The Panthers enter the game with a record of 12-10. Orange won 60-29 in their recent league game against Person (Roxboro, NC)

With the defeat, The Burlington School moves to 6-17 on the year. The Spartans host Wesleyan Christian Academy (High Point, NC) to face the Trojans in a non-league game on Thursday, February 2. The Trojans enter the game with a record of 19-9. Wesleyan Christian Academy won 51-45 in their recent non-league game against Forsyth Home Educators (Winston-Salem, NC)
