Williams Field Black Hawks (Gilbert, AZ) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Mountain Pointe Pride (Phoenix, AZ), 1-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Black Hawks confront the Higley Knights (Gilbert, AZ) in a 5A San Tan challenge, on Friday, February 3. Williams Field will attempt to move on its 2-13 season record. The Knights enter the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 9-0 league win over Casa Grande (Casa Grande, AZ).

The Pride now possess a 0-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Campo Verde for a 5A San Tan outing on Thursday, February 2. Mountain Pointe will battle a Coyotes team coming off a 2-0 league win over Casteel (Queen Creek, AZ). The Coyotes record now stands at 12-6.
