California High School Basketball - Northgate nips Acalanes
January 31, 2024: Walnut Creek, CA 94598 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Northgate Broncos (Walnut Creek, CA) and the visiting Acalanes Dons (Lafayette, CA), saw Northgate's basketball squad hold off Acalanes by a tally of 56-52.
With the victory, Northgate improves its record to 16-9 on the campaign. The Broncos travel to Campolindo (Moraga, CA) to play the Cougars in a Diablo challenge on Friday, February 2. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 20-5. Campolindo lost 70-59 in their recent league challenge against Ygnacio Valley (Concord, CA)
Next up, the Dons play the Mt. Diablo Red Devils (Concord, CA) in a Diablo challenge, on Friday, February 2. Acalanes will attempt to improve on its 7-18 season record. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a 2-21 record after their 83-38 league loss to Northgate (Walnut Creek, CA).
