Louisiana High School Basketball - Central fells Dutchtown
January 31, 2024: Geismar, LA 70734 Central Wildcats (Baton Rouge, LA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Dutchtown Griffins (Geismar, LA), 53-36 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Central upgrades its record to 21-5 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Scotlandville (Baton Rouge, LA) to play the Hornets in a 5A District 4 bout on Friday, February 2. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 18-9. Scotlandville won 56-54 in their recent non-league bout against Capitol (Baton Rouge, LA)
Next up, the Griffins play the St. Amant Gators (St. Amant, LA) in a 5A District 5 bout, on Thursday, February 1. Dutchtown will attempt to upgrade on its 13-12 season record. The Gators go into the bout with a 22-8 record after their 64-49 non-league loss to Mentorship Academy (Baton Rouge, LA).
