January 31, 2024: Hazelwood, MO 63042 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Mehlville Panthers (St. Louis, MO) and the host Hazelwood West Wildcats (Hazelwood, MO), saw Mehlville's basketball squad hold off Hazelwood West by a tally of 59-58.
With the victory, Mehlville improves its record to 7-10 on the campaign. The Panthers host Parkway West (Ballwin, MO) to play the Longhorns in a Freelance challenge on Friday, February 2. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a record of 5-11. Parkway West lost 52-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Howell North (St. Charles, MO)
Next up, the Wildcats play the University City Lions (St. Louis, MO) in a Suburban - Green challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Hazelwood West will attempt to improve on its 3-16 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 10-6 record after their 75-63 non-league loss to Christian Brothers (St. Louis, MO).
