The Magoffin County Hornets basketball team scored 77 points and restricted the host West Carter Comets to 56 in the Hornets non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Hornets now sport a 11-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Martin County for a District 57 contest on Monday, February 5.

The Comets (7-12) will now prepare for their contest against Bath County (Owingsville, KY). The Wildcats come into the non-league contest with a 5-15 record. In their last contest, Bath County was routed by Fleming County (Flemingsburg, KY), 90-76, in a league contest.
