In Wednesday's league outing, the Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) basketball squad beat the visiting East Providence Townies (East Providence, RI), by a count of 36-19.

The Chieftains (12-6) will now prepare for their outing against Rogers (Newport, RI). The Vikings go into the Division 1 outing with a 1-15 record. In their last outing, Rogers was topped by St. Raphael Academy (Pawtucket, RI), 47-31, in a league outing.
