Saranac Spartans (Saranac, NY) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Ticonderoga Sentinels (Ticonderoga, NY), 54-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Saranac upgrades its record to 12-2 on the season. The Spartans travel to Moriah (Port Henry, NY) to play the Vikings in a Section 7 Champlain Valley II bout on Monday, February 5. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 7-6.

Next up, the Sentinels play the Moriah Vikings (Port Henry, NY) in a Section 7 Champlain Valley II bout, on Friday, February 2. Ticonderoga will attempt to upgrade on its 10-5 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 7-6 record after their 57-38 league win over Peru (Peru, NY).
