Indiana High School Basketball - Evansville Central holds off Evansville Reitz

In Friday's league contest, the host Evansville Central Bears basketball team scored a close 50-49 triumph over the Evansville Reitz Panthers.

The Bears (14-2) will now prepare for their contest against Evansville Harrison (Evansville, IN). The Warriors go into the Southern Indiana contest with a 10-5 record. In their last contest, Evansville Harrison was tipped by Vincennes Lincoln (Vincennes, IN), 63-58, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Panthers confront the Floyd Central Highlanders (Floyds Knobs, IN) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, February 1. Evansville Reitz will attempt to better on its 11-3 season record. The Highlanders go into the contest with a 3-11 record after their 79-78 league loss to Jennings County (North Vernon, IN).
