Michigan High School Basketball - Manistee can't hold off St. Francis
January 31, 2025: Manistee, MI 49660 St. Francis Gladiators (Traverse City, MI) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Manistee Chippewas (Manistee, MI), 42-35 in a non-league match.
With the victory, St. Francis advances its record to 6-9 on the year. The Gladiators travel to Gaylord (Gaylord, MI) to face the Blue Devils in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 4. The Blue Devils enter the match with a record of 5-7. Gaylord lost 58-50 in their recent league match against Alpena (Alpena, MI)
The Chippewas now own a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Muskegon for a non-league match on Wednesday, February 5. Manistee will face a Norsemen squad coming off a 56-45 league win over Hart (Hart, MI). The Norsemen record now stands at 14-0.
