In Friday's non-league contest, the host Negreet Indians basketball team scored a close 68-63 triumph over the Pickering Red Devils.

The Indians (21-8) will now prepare for their contest against Zwolle (Zwolle, LA). The Hawks go into the B District 3 contest with a 20-10 record.

In their next game, the Red Devils battle the East Beauregard Trojans (DeRidder, LA) in a 2A District 4 contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Pickering will attempt to better on its 11-15 season record.
