January 31, 2025: Vardaman, MS 38878 North Pontotoc Vikings (Ecru, MS) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Vardaman Rams (Vardaman, MS), 65-56 in a non-league match.
With the victory, North Pontotoc upgrades its record to 8-19 on the year. The Vikings host Byhalia (Byhalia, MS) to face the Indians in a 4A Region 2 match on Tuesday, February 4. The Indians enter the match with a record of 4-18. Byhalia lost 71-31 in their recent league match against South Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS)
The Rams now sport a 7-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Okolona for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 4. Vardaman will face a Chieftains squad coming off a 71-39 non-league loss to Booneville (Booneville, MS). The Chieftains record now stands at 10-16.
