Wisconsin High School Basketball - Holmen bested by West Salem
January 31, 2025: West Salem, WI 54669 West Salem Panthers (West Salem, WI) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Holmen Vikings (Holmen, WI), 49-31 in a non-league match.
With the victory, West Salem advances its record to 15-4 on the year. The Panthers host Arcadia (Arcadia, WI) to meet the Raiders in a Coulee match on Thursday, February 6. The Raiders enter the match with a record of 11-8. Arcadia lost 47-43 in their recent non-league match against La Crosse Logan (La Crosse, WI)
The Vikings now own a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eau Claire Memorial for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 4. Holmen will meet a Old Abes squad coming off a 77-28 league win over New Richmond (New Richmond, WI). The Old Abes record now stands at 16-2.
