Texas High School Basketball - Incarnate Word nips Veterans Memorial

In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Incarnate Word Shamrocks basketball team scored a close 58-56 triumph over the Veterans Memorial Patriots.

The Shamrocks (11-21) will now prepare for their contest against Savio (Austin, TX). The Eagles go into the TAPPS 6A District 3 contest with a 22-12 record. In their last contest, Savio nipped TMI-Episcopal (San Antonio, TX), 63-15, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Patriots battle the Smithson Valley Rangers (Spring Branch, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 26 contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Veterans Memorial will attempt to better on its 6-26 season record. The Rangers go into the contest with a 9-23 record after their 59-32 league loss to Tivy (Kerrville, TX).
