January 31, 2025: Burbank, IL 60459 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the St. Laurence Vikings (Burbank, IL) and the visiting Providence-St. Mel Knights (Chicago, IL), observed St. Laurence's basketball team overwhelm Providence-St. Mel by a score of 56-32.
The Vikings (18-6) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Rita (Chicago, IL). The Mustangs come into the non-league challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, St. Rita trounced Westinghouse (Chicago, IL), 63-59, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Knights encounter the Fenwick Friars (Oak Park, IL) in a challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Providence-St. Mel will attempt to improve on its 3-6 season record. The Friars come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 44-34 league loss to Brother Rice (Chicago, IL).
