The Lowpoint-Washburn Wildcats basketball team scored 60 points and restricted the visiting DeLand-Weldon Eagles to 17 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Seneca for a Tri-County contest on Friday, January 7. Lowpoint-Washburn will battle a Fighting Irish team coming off a 47-39 non-league loss to Flanagan-Cornell (Flanagan, IL). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 8-4.

The Eagles (0-9) will now prepare for their contest against La Salette Academy (Georgetown, IL). The Lions come into the non-league contest with a 5-10 record.
