January 4, 2022: Salem, SD 57058 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Dell Rapids Quarriers (Dell Rapids, SD) and the host McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars (Salem, SD), saw Dell Rapids's basketball squad hold off McCook Central/Montrose by a tally of 45-41.
With the victory, Dell Rapids improves its record to 1-7 on the campaign. The Quarriers travel to Canton (Canton, SD) to confront the C-Hawks in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 6. The C-Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 2-5. Canton won 54-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Chamberlain (Chamberlain, SD)
Next up, the Fighting Cougars confront the Beresford Watchdogs (Beresford, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 7. McCook Central/Montrose will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Watchdogs come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 47-40 non-league win over Parker (Parker, SD).
