Texas High School Basketball - Jacksonville ripped by Palestine
January 4, 2022: Palestine, TX 75801 The Palestine Wildcats basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Jacksonville Maidens to 24 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Wildcats now sport a 22-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Carthage for a 4A Region III District 17 contest on Friday, January 7. Palestine will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 49-40 non-league loss to Marshall (Marshall, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-11.
The Maidens (8-11) will now prepare for their contest against Lufkin (Lufkin, TX). The Panthers enter the 5A Region II District 16 contest with a 11-6 record. In their last contest, Lufkin was routed by Kingwood Park (Kingwood, TX), 47-42, in a non-league contest.
